A joint CNR Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche and CIMA Research Foundation mission to Addis Ababa as part of the European Union’s Delegated Cooperation Initiative for Integrated Water Resources Management in the Awash, Danakil and Wabi Shebele Basins concluded in recent days.
The team had the opportunity to attend a workshop with the Ministry of Water and Energy – Ethiopia , a strategic partner for the development of water resources management, whom AICS is also engaged with through the BASRINET initiative, where the Ministry of Water and Energy along with International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) are lead partners.
The purpose of the mission aimed to coordinate the partners of the initiatives with the perspective of a collaborative technical-management synergy, so as to promote a positive exchange of knowledge for the successful implementation of both.
