Amhara: Access to Essential Services for Crisis-Affected Communities

In Debre Berhan and South Wollo, the PROTECT project provides health, nutrition, and protection services to internally displaced people and host communities.

In the Amhara region, a prolonged crisis has forced thousands of people to flee their homes, increasing pressure on basic services and host communities.

To respond to these needs, the Italian Cooperation supports the PROTECT project, implemented by CIFA and CUAMM in the areas of Debre Berhan and South Wollo.

The intervention ensures access to essential services through mobile clinics, nutrition screening activities, and psychosocial support, with particular attention to women, children, and vulnerable groups. Cash assistance is also provided to help families meet their immediate needs.

The videos document field activities and features firsthand testimonies on the impact of health and protection services in crisis-affected communities.
