Biography

With a degree in Political Science and a second-level Master’s in Policies and Management of Migration Flows, Isabella Lucaferri has over 13 years of experience in international cooperation and development program management.

From 2020 to 2024, she served as Head of the AICS Office in Addis Ababa, with responsibility for Ethiopia, Djibouti, South Sudan, Sudan, and Eritrea. In this role, she coordinated development cooperation and humanitarian aid strategies in crisis and conflict settings, contributing to the definition of the Ethiopia Country Program for the 2023–2025 period.

Previously, she gained extensive experience at AICS headquarters in Rome and at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, primarily focusing on the planning and coordination of development initiatives in Africa.
